About MediaBlaster
MediaBlaster turns WordPress into the control center for a modern media platform. It gives creators, publishers, organizations, and agencies a practical way to organize video and podcasts, build streaming-style experiences, and power branded websites and apps without surrendering control of their content platform.
Origin story
MediaBlaster grew out of WP Smart TV, a WordPress plugin created to help publishers organize video content and connect it to Roku channels.
The streaming industry changed. Roku Direct Publisher was discontinued, app requirements became more demanding, and creators needed more than a single-purpose video feed. But the underlying problem never went away: independent publishers still needed an affordable way to manage their content and build media experiences they could control.
MediaBlaster is the next evolution of that original idea.
Instead of treating WordPress as only a website builder, MediaBlaster turns it into a structured media backend. Content can be managed once and used across a WordPress website, a headless frontend, a podcast feed, a custom integration, or a connected app.

Product philosophy
MediaBlaster is built around a straightforward belief: creators should be able to build on their own content library instead of repeatedly starting over inside disconnected platforms.
WordPress remains the central source of truth. Publishers decide where their media is hosted, how it is presented, which applications use it, and how the platform grows.
A creator might begin with a simple video library. Later, that same content can support podcasts, memberships, a headless website, client integrations, or a Roku channel without rebuilding the entire catalog.

Leadership
Founder & CTO, Rovidx Media & Consulting
Rob Davenport leads the product strategy, architecture, development, documentation, and training behind MediaBlaster.
His work focuses on turning complicated media and software workflows into systems that creators and businesses can actually use. That includes WordPress platform development, streaming media technology, headless applications, content operations, and practical uses of AI in design and development.
MediaBlaster reflects the same approach Rob brings to client work at Rovidx: keep the system understandable, give people control, and help them move from an idea to something that is genuinely working.
